Synopsis

This course aims to encourage future teachers to develop familiarity with production processes for a range of media, supporting their development of the necessary skills and understandings for the use of media for teaching and learning. Through close analysis and production of imagery, sound and text in a range of media formats such as children's games, film, television, Internet, popular music, documentary and advertising, students will gain an understanding of a range of media and their importance in the global context.
