Synopsis

The search for self and the desire to know a sense of belonging have been recurring themes through many different forms of literature. This course teaches students about four literature genres while providing students with the opportunity to study how writers engage the search for self and/or the need to belong. They are also given the opportunity to explore the writer's purpose and use of characters in each of the set texts.
