The enrolling student must be a Registered Nurse.

Synopsis

This course contains two modules of study which together provide registered nurses with a detailed exploration of the context of rural and remote area practice including the legal, ethical and professional frameworks governing and directing rural and remote area nursing practice; an analysis of the 'burden of disease' for rural and remote peoples; an awareness of the cultural safety principles, and an understanding of the primary health care and social justice approaches to rural and remote area health care delivery.
