GER3104 Language Project B (FOART)

Semester 2 (ONC)Toowoomba

Units 1.0 (Northern European Languages) Band 1

Pre-requisite: GER3103

Synopsis

Studying German as part of an Arts, Business, Engineering, Science, Education, or IT degree, to a confident level of language competence, can provide graduates with an important competitive edge when entering and advancing their careers in increasingly global employment markets. Language Project B is a German language course at advanced level and builds on skills developed in GER3103 Language Project A. The course will enable students to further enhance their German language skills and knowledge of the German-speaking countries by researching, writing up and presenting a report (length 1500-1750 words) on a topic of cultural, political, historical, social, economic, or scientific interest. It is envisaged that students will explore a topic of relevance to the (other) major discipline in their academic program or one of special contemporary significance. Students must choose a theme and topic different to the one they explored in GER3003 Language Project A.
