Synopsis

THIS COURSE WILL NOT BE OFFERED IN 2007 ONLY. This laboratory-based course builds upon the theory developed in first year Physics. The focus of the course is on wave optics and electromagnetic theory. Some of the topics covered include: interference, coherence, diffraction, light scattering, polarization, Fourier optics and applications of lasers.
