Synopsis
This course firstly explores evaluation as an ongoing process essential to the continuous improvement of instruction and assessment activities. Learners will be required to demonstrate mastery of knowledge of a range of evaluative approaches, procedures and techniques appropriate to instructional settings. Learners will be required to demonstrate competency in the design, implementation and reporting of the evaluation of an instructional program within their particular context. This will require learners to utilize a range of data gathering and analysis techniques. This course will also explore issues of ethics, validity and reliability as they pertain to such evaluation activities. The course also incorporates a minimum 5 days teaching placement in an approved instructional setting.
