Pre-requisite: The enrolling student must be a registered nurse.


Synopsis

This course focuses on providing students with the knowledge and skills required for the management of immunisation programs for adults and children across a wide clinical spectrum. It offers registered nurses the opportunity to integrate and apply Health Management Protocols and Drug Therapy Protocols along with relevant immunisation theory to their clinical practice. Students will be required to undertake six hours of supervised clinical practice at an approved Immunisation Clinic. On successful completion of this course students will be eligible to apply for endorsement authorising them to practice under the Immunisation Program Drug Therapy Protocol.
