Synopsis

In light of the diversity of early childhood settings, this non supervised experience will explore individual and group management in learning environments. Accessing appropriate resources (including human, material and web-based) and the development of community partnerships and the development of community partnerships will be highlighted. The ideals of early childhood philosophy and pedagogy will be practised in order to effectuate professional decision making in organising a creative learning environment, developing assessment tools and curriculum design. Using knowledge related to policy change, legal and ethical requirements, leadership and management issues, students will further develop professional and organisation roles and responsibilities. NOTE: Minimum enrolment numbers apply to this offering. Should enrolments not reach the minimum number required for on-campus study, students may be transferred to the EXT or WEB offering and advised of this change before semester commences.
