AMEB Grade 5 equivalent on their principal instrument or an ability to read music notation for vocal/choral ensembles.

Synopsis

The course content will embrace group performance in the student's area of practical expertise and the study of works representative of various stylistic periods that are applicable to the chosen ensemble(s). Ensemble types may include orchestra, symphonic wind band, Big Band, brass ensemble, chamber music, smaller jazz ensembles, opera chorus, choir, small vocal ensembles. Participating students must choose two ensembles for their assessment.
