Students are strongly recommended to complete VSA3021 Contemporary Art Theory 1 prior to this study.

Synopsis

In visual research this data leads to the study of practical issues or underlying theories, on matters of intention, ways of assessing completed work, and the processes of actually handling materials and techniques. Its methods of collection may be quantitative and qualitative. Later in the course students will develop a research report which reflects upon, theorizes and describes the studio-based research.
