Synopsis

Geotechnical Engineering is concerned with applying the principles learnt in CIV2403 Geology and Geomechanics to analyse the stability of geotechnical structures. Topics covered include soil shear strength, slope stability analysis, retaining and sheet pile wall analysis, shallow foundations and deep pile foundations.
