Synopsis

Students will, under the guidance of a member of staff, pursue an in-depth study of a topic relevant to the field of education, and in particular to the focus of the student's major study area. The type of study does not necessarily involve research, but should include a substantial investigatory component leading to the submission of a written research report, material production or essay demonstrating comprehensive and detailed coverage of major concepts, issues, and research/professional literature. All student project proposals will be the subject of a critical review and final topics may be the result of extensive lecturer-student negotiation. However, honour students completing this course must complete research and must provide a final report following submission guidelines for honours.
