Synopsis

This course is designed for students wishing to gain a more advanced understanding of the audio recording and mixing process. Sound Mix focuses on the principles and practices of advanced mixing techniques in both music and post-production environments. It is designed to focus on achieving quality results in a project studio environment. Practical examples involve looking closely at, and dealing hands on with problems and situations. It covers aspects of mixing from the recorded material to the final mix down. It requires students to have already gained a basic understanding and application of audio studio and field recording as well as basic sound editing practices.
