CDS1001 Human Relations and Communications
Pre-requisite: CMS1000 or CMS1009
Students must be eligible for a blue card or its equivalent from State and Territory jurisdictions in order to complete Human Services programs at USQ. Students seeking to undertake practicums must be officially authorized to work with children before they can be placed in a human service organization. Human relations and Communications is designed to develop the interpersonal skills necessary for cultivating and maintaining successful working relationships. Students are introduced to the theory and practice of interpersonal communication and relationship building. The course includes a grounding in active listening skills, group and teamwork, problem solving, equity and diversity issues, and personal development.
