CIS3002 Business Analysis

It is strongly recommended that students complete CIS1000 (Information Systems Concepts) or an equivalent course before attempting CIS3002. SynopsisThis course focuses on developing key Business Analysis skills using object oriented methodologies, in particular the UML. Popular requirements, analysis and design specification methods are given detailed coverage and the issue of system acquisition via packages is also considered. The importance of written and oral communication skills is given due prominence. The course will enable students to understand the overall Systems Development Lifecycle and contemporary approaches to Systems Design Methodologies, as well as a range of tools and techniques. Students will learn about the importance of standards and will apply these in their assessment tasks. Major trends and issues affecting business analysis and design in the business sector are also studied. Course offers
