Synopsis

This course is designed to assist with the development of a fluent and lucid personal style, and to guide students through the sustained development of a work in a literary form of their choice.
Artistic and creative approaches to writing are supported through the systematic acquisition of skills in the craft, with an emphasis on what may be learned from literary convention and tradition. There will be a focus on examples from a range of literary forms, including poem, the personal essay, fictional narrative, persuasive argument, and dialogue script.
