SynopsisThe experience of war is one which generates conflict between the societies or states engaged in warfare. It also generates conflict and responses within those societies engaged in conflict. This seminar will discuss ways in which the state, interstate groups and domestic social groups have responded to the impact of war, with a primary focus on the experience of Australia at war. It will consider the themes of nationalism, interstate relations, social class, gender, race, anti war protest, religion and ethnicity. Course offers
