SynopsisDrawing upon a framework provided by recent world history, the course employs a thematic approach. Students investigate the construction of individual and community consciousness in both transnational and historical contexts. To do this, the course investigates the formation and expression of identities, memories and community in multiple locales. The course integrates this approach with case studies of some of the central ideas and concepts that shaped the recent world. Course offers
