Nurses. Worth listening to.

This report details the results of the Queensland Nurses' Union (QNU) commissioned survery:  Your work, your time, your life 2004 and compares these results with those from a similar study conducted in 2001.

The aim of both studies was to identify factors impacting upon nursing work and to use the results to inform strategic planning of the QNU.  The research questions of the 2004 study were:

• from a perspective of members of the QNU, what were the factors impacting upon nursing work in Queensland?
• how satisfied were members of the QNU with nursing work in Queensland?
• have perceptions of and satisfaction with nursing work changed during the periond 2001 to 2004?

This report outlines the finding of the 2004 study.  Comparisions are provided between the 2001 and 2004 studies if the same question was asked in the 2001 study. The results are reported across three sectors: aged; private and public.
