This report represents the outcomes from a project that endeavoured to train Advisory and Extension Agents to recognise signs of mental illness and respond appropriately, including by connecting  individuals and families with specialised services and information.

This study strongly indicated that providing training in mental health issues to rural service providers can be very beneficial to their landholder clients and their social network and also to them personally and their colleagues with whom they interact.
