Health Needs Assessment of the Wide Bay and Fraser Coast Region.

Fraser Coast residents are being asked to comment on the region's health services.   The aim of the study is to evaluate community perceptions of the health services.  A survey will seek out information about services that are missing from the region, or services which could be improved, or services that work well in relation to people's health needs.  It will focus specifically on four areas: chronic disease; women and children; drug and alcohol services and mental health.

The survey is part of a larger project being conducted and funded by Wide Bay Partnerships Council (WBPC) whose aim is to improve service coordination and ultimately the health of residents of the region.  It is hoped that the final resource will be of value to both planners and providers of health care services.
