On your graduation day you are required to wear academic dress during the graduation ceremony. We encourage you to wear plain coloured, smart attire with buttons down the front, allowing for us to securely attach the hood. When selecting your clothing please do not wear casual clothing or casual footwear (thongs or sneakers). Academic dress is made from pure wool and can be quite warm, so keep this in mind when selecting your clothing for the day.
Procedures for collecting your academic dress will vary depending on your graduation location. Academic dress colours and regulations for each degree and faculty are available.
Academic dress is available to hire for Australian and International graduands. Please ensure you follow the correct hiring procedures relevant to your graduation location. You should also familiarise yourself with the conditions of hiring academic dress.
If you would like to keep your academic dress from graduation you can purchase it privately from Raymond W. Bredin & Son Pty Ltd. Please complete the form that is relevant to you, ensuring the address you use is where you would like the gown delivered.
