Gym membership

All members of USQ's Elite Athlete Program, who are currently enrolled in a USQ program are eligible for free membership to USQWorks.

Toowoomba Students

How do I access the gym membership?

Contact the Elite Athlete Program Coordinator, who will issue you with a letter of endorsement. Take your endorsement letter to the staff at USQWorks, who will then process your membership application.

What are my obligations?

As an elite athlete, you are required to fulfill the terms of agreement (PDF *77KB) between USQ Student Guild and USQ Elite Athlete Program.
Students must:

  1. be a registered member of USQ Elite Athlete Program
  2. be currently enrolled in a USQ Program
  3. agree to participate (within reason) in fundraising or promotional events as requested by USQ Student Guild
  4. provide proof of registration and enrolment to USQ Student Guild (Works staff) before membership application will be accepted.

Springfield Students

The USQ Springfield Gym is located behind the Auditorium.

  • membership is free to members of USQ's Elite Athlete program
  • the campus gym is open from 6.00am to 10.00pm 7 days a week
  • members will need a swipe card for access
  • application forms can be obtained from The Hive on Level         
  • prospective gym members must attend a gym induction session (15 minutes duration) prior to joining and having access to the gym granted. Induction sessions are held by appointment. To book an induction please contact Peter.Diplock@usq.edu.au or call 07 3470 4258
