Ways to study overseas

As a student at USQ, you have the opportunity to travel and study overseas for one or two semesters. We all want to get out, do something different and break the monotony. At USQ, we encourage you to see the world while studying by giving you credit towards your degree.

So, what are you waiting for? There will never be a better time to meet some new people and get a new perspective on the world. We'll be here when you get back!

There are 2 ways to study overseas:

Exchange students

The Exchange Program allows USQ students to study at a foreign university for one or two semesters. USQ students must participate in an overseas study experience with one of our Exchange Partner Universities to be eligible for the USQ Exchange Program.

Exchange students:

  • remain enrolled at USQ while attending a foreign university
  • do not receive an award from their host university
  • receive credit for their USQ degree upon successful completion of their studies at a foreign university
  • pay tuition fees to USQ, not to the host institution.

Study abroad students

The Study Abroad Program allows USQ students to study at a foreign institution for one or two semesters. USQ Study Abroad students:

  • enrol directly with a foreign university
  • do not receive an award from the host university
  • receive credit for their USQ degree upon successful completion of their studies at a foreign university
  • pay tuition fees directly to the host university for their semester(s) abroad and take a leave of absence from studies at USQ.
