FEE-HELP

FEE-HELP is a Commonwealth Government loan made available to eligible students to help pay part of or all of their full fees up to the FEE-HELP limit over their lifetime. This amount is indexed each year.

Who is eligible for FEE-HELP?

You are eligible to obtain a FEE-HELP loan if you are:

• an Australian citizen enrolled in an award program and will be resident in Australia for at least part of your studies 
• a holder of a Permanent Humanitarian visa enrolled in an award program
• a permanent resident, who is are not a holder of a humanitarian visa, but is undertaking a bridging course for overseas trained professionals and is a resident in Australia.

If you are eligible and you are enrolled in an undergraduate program, a fee of 25% will apply to your FEE-HELP loan.

Applying for a loan

If you wish to apply for a FEE-HELP loan, you are required to complete a Commonwealth Assistance Form (CAF), including your tax file number, prior to the census date of the semester you wish to start studying.
