The Australian Government requires all international students to obtain and maintain Overseas Student Health Cover for the entire duration of their student visa. Students are required to purchase an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) policy, from a registered OSHC provider, approved by the Department of Health and Ageing. You will receive information about obtaining Allianz Global Assistance OSHC cards during Orientation at USQ.
If you plan to study at USQ and meet our acceptance of offer and fee payment requirements, your initial OSHC will be arranged by USQ with our preferred provider, Allianz Global Assistance, unless you specify that you wish to obtain OSHC from a different provider. The University has no relationship with any other government approved OSHC providers and cannot accept payment from students for any provider other than Allianz Global Assistance. However, you can insure with any other OSHC provider by contacting them directly as listed below:
