Student Financial Loans
We understand that you may find yourself in a tough financial situation that may be impacting on your ability to study. USQ offers two types of Financial Loans that can assist you and help you get back on track.
Firstly, the Special Financial Assistance Loan (SFA) (PDF* 404KB) is available for specific needs relating to your study, such as textbooks and essential course material. SFA loans are available up to AUD1000 repayable up to a maximum of 12 months. For first year first semester students, SFA loans are available up to AUD500 for a maximum of 4 months.
The Emergency Loan (PDF* 405KB) is available for survival purposes only and must relate to daily living expenses such as food and medicine. Emergency Loans are available up to AUD300 for a maximum of 4 months.
You must read through the student information sheet (PDF* 86KB) thoroughly before applying for a loan to ensure you understand the eligibility criteria, conditions, penalties and application process. On your application form you will have to sign to say you have read and understood this document.
