Perfectionism

Procrastination is often associated with perfectionism. Setting standards for ourselves and striving to achieve those standards can be healthy, satisfying, and fulfilling. They motivate us to try hard, challenge ourselves, and achieve our goals. However, perfectionists tend to have extremely high and unrealistic expectations of themselves. Their internal standards are unrelenting and their self-worth is tied up in whether or not they meet those standards.
