Submission of assignments

Try it! UConnect Learning Assignments may be submitted by post, electronic submission or in person. Cost of postage for assignments to the University will be incurred by the student. If you are enrolled via a USQ Partner you must submit your assignment to the USQ partner.

You are required to keep a copy of any assignment submitted and proof of postage. Assignments will be returned via Australia Post to domestic addresses. Assignments with international addresses will be returned via TNT.

Assignments posted from outside Australia must be sent to USQ by air mail.

For assignments posted to USQ, you can check on UConnect to see if the assignment has been received by following the navigation below.

  1. Log in UConnect
  2. Click the UDo tab
  3. Locate the class in the Enrolments section of the Student Centre
  4. Click on the Gradebook link

On the class assignments page you can also view due dates and any grades that have been marked.

Electronic submission of assignments

The course lecturer decides whether your course offers electronic submission of assignments.

Students submitting assignments electronically via EASE can check their submission details on USQStudyDesk. You will be required to logon with your USQ username and password. Click Current Courses, then Assessment Management to check the status of your assignments on EASE.

If you think you have submitted the assignment incorrectly, you need to advise your lecturer via USQAssist. Student Support staff will advise the lecturer of your request and assist you with any further queries about electronic submission of assignments.

Hand delivery of assignments

For external students, the assignment drop box is located in the USQ Support Centre on the bottom floor of Y Block at the Toowoomba Campus. During business hours, 8am to 5pm, you can deliver the assignment to the reception area by putting it into the box provided. After hours, you can deliver to the after hours box located on the outside of the north side of the building.

Please do not use this after-hours box during business hours as it may delay the assignment processing.

The boxes are cleared every weekday at 5pm and date-stamped for that date. Assignments that arrive after 5pm are date stamped the following weekday.

On campus students may deliver their assignments to the reception area of their Faculty.

Faxed assignments

Faxed assignments have a potential for problems of illegibility or missing pages. Your marks may be affected adversely if this happens. Faxing of assignment is not recommended. There is no advantage to faxing your assignment as the due date is the date you submit the assignment, whether by fax, post, electronically or in person.

You must send a copy of the assignment coversheet, properly completed, as the header page of the fax submission.

At the top of each page, please include your name and student number. Do not send both a faxed assignment and a copy by mail. Do not fax Computer Managed Assessment (CMA) assignments.

DeC Fax: +61 7 4636 1049

Student should check the course specification as some examiners will not accept submission of assignments by facsimile.
