Student ePortfolio and/or eProfile

USQ provides all students (current and alumni) and staff with access to an ePortfolio system and a simple eProfile system. These systems allow you to present yourself on the web by documenting your qualifications, skills and experiences, and providing links to your other websites or profiles. The simple eProfile system provides a basic page and many student eProfiles will contain a link to the more feature rich student ePortfolio system.

All current students and alumni will continue to have access to their ePortfolio while they maintain their USQ account by changing their password every 90 days. Accounts that have become inactive can be reactivated using the USQ portal. If an account has been inactive for more than two years, the ePortfolio and all the data it contains will be deleted.

• create your own blogs and blog posts documenting your activities and achievements
• upload documents and scanned files
• link to media you have posted to external sites such as YouTube or other web sites
• prepare views containing elements in your ePortfolio and then make these views available
• control who can see views you have prepared
• search for people based on their name or information in their 'introduction'
• form professional and academic networks and join groups
• receive feedback from people who visit your views
• continue to use your ePortfolio after you graduate while you maintain your USQ account

The major strength of the ePortfolio system is that information you add to your ePortfolio is not visible until you have added it to a view and then published at that view. While there will be common elements in these views, it is likely that a view for a potential employer might be different to views that you prepare for your friends or your colleagues. • use the simple search system to find people using their name
• create links to your more detailed ePortfolio or other websites.

The eProfile system provides a simple tool allowing you to enter text information about yourself and have people find you based on your name.
