Accessing study materialsDepending on the course, your study package will usually consist of an Introductory Book (overview, assessment details, communications, etc), Study Book (course content) and Book of Selected Readings (reference materials) for each course. Your course materials may be delivered on CD or via the Internet. It may contain media items such as videotapes, computer disks or CDs. Textbooks are not part of the study package. Some of the items in the study package may require access to a computer with Internet connection and a CD drive. You will need to check the USQ Handbook for course and program information and USQs computing requirements prior to enrolling to ensure that your delivery choice is compatible with your learning needs. Study packages are dispatched progressively from six weeks before each semester commences. When your study package has been dispatched, you will receive an email which provides details such as date of despatch, method of delivery, consignment number and contents. For this reason it is important to make sure your email address on USQ records is always current. If you receive the email and you notice that your mailing address is incorrect, please notify Outreach Services as soon as possible as your study package may be able to be redirected. Students should also contact Outreach Services if they have missing or damaged materials or if they have not received their study materials by the first day of semester. Start-up materialsTo enable you to have quick and early access to the core of your learning packages, the Introductory Book and the first module of the Study Book for each course will be available to enrolled students at least one week prior to the start of semester via the USQStudyDesk from USQConnect. |
