Off-Campus Library Service

The Off-Campus Library Service is available to externally enrolled students who live outside a 50 kilometre radius from Toowoomba. Students living within a 50km radius of Toowoomba who consider they have special circumstances which prevent them from visiting the Library should contact the Off-Campus Library Service to discuss their situation.

The USQ Library has extensive online and print collections available. The collections include books, journals, encyclopaedias, statistical sources and standards in print and electronic format. There is also an extensive audio visual collection of videos and compact disks.

The Off-Campus Library Service can help you by offering a:

  • loans and photocopy service - use 'DocEx' to request loans and photocopies of library material to be delivered via postal or web delivery;

  • borrowing information including how, what and for how long you can borrow items;

  • research advice service - assists you through the maze of online databases and information sources;

  • e-Books (Electronic Books) - this provides the full-text of over 20 000 books through services such as eBrary and NetLibrary; and

  • online resources (online) - such as full-text journal articles and web sites recommended by your Faculty Librarian.

Library classes are also available in Toowoomba, Brisbane, Springfield and Fraser Coast to help students to get started searching for resources within the Library.

USQ students can also access other library catalogues and borrow from other university libraries in accordance with the National Borrowing Scheme agreement between most Australian universities.
