Residential Schools

Residential Schools give external students the opportunity to attend campus for face-to-face lectures and tutorials, use of the facilities and to meet staff and other students.

Do I have to attend?

While the majority of residential schools are voluntary, some are compulsory. Check the schedules page to see if the course you are enrolled in offers a Residential School.

When are they held?

Students should refer to the 2012 Residential School schedule for individual program and course dates, including information for external students enrolled with the Centre for Australian Indigenous Knowledges.

Residential School timetables.

Residential School timetables are made available approximately at the start of each semester. Please refer to these important student dates for more information. 

Do I need to register?

You will automatically be registered for Residential School once you enrol yourself in your course. Please logon to UConnect > UDo > Student Centre to ensure that you are enrolled in the course.

How do I cancel my registration?

Students who are unable to attend the Residential School they have registered for should email Ask USQ (Question Type - Other) to request cancellation.  Students should also cancel any bookings they may have at the Residential Colleges, however some conditions apply. For further information students should read the refunds and cancellations section on the Accommodation, meals and social events page.

What will it cost?

You only need to meet personal expenses such as travelaccommodation and meals

I will be attending Residential School. What do I have to do?

  1. register by the preferred date and download any relevant timetable information
  2. if you require on-campus accommodation, return the relevant accommodation form*
  3. check this site regularly for updated information

How do I get to Toowoomba or Fraser Coast Campus or to the Queensland College of Wine Tourism?

The majority of residential schools are held in Toowoomba, however there is also information for residential schools held at Fraser Coast campus or off campus at Stanthorpe (Queensland College of Wine Tourism).
