Clothing requirements in laboratories

If your course requires laboratory work, you must wear enclosed shoes or you will not be permitted to enter laboratories to undertake practical work. It is also not appropriate to wear loose, flowing clothes when visiting laboratories.

Students with disabilities

The University of Southern Queensland is actively involved in supporting students with both temporary and permanent disabilities. We realise that each student has individual needs, and while we cannot solve every problem, we will make every effort to ensure that students with disabilities receive the support that they need while attending Residential Schools on campus.

If you have particular needs during Residential School, please contact the Residential School Coordinator on +61 7 4631 2285 or the Coordinator, Disabilities Resources at Student Services on +61 7 4631 2372.

  • temporary parking permits for the vehicle bays marked ‘Persons with Disabilities Parking' can be obtained from the University Parking and Security Office (J Block) and Student Services (G Block). You will be required to produce documentation.
  • the fine for unauthorised parking is $16.00 for metered parking and $33.00 for restricted bay parking.  Fines will be enforced.
  • there are three metered carparks: Carpark Restricted 3 (Y Block), Carpark 9 (W Block) and Carpark 12 (near the Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre).  Within these carparks, payment for parking is required.
