Associate Degree of Engineering (Environmental Engineering)
With emphasis on the application of engineering solutions to environmental issues, USQ’s Associate Degree of Engineering (Environmental) will prepare you with the skills of impact assessment and management alongside the core scientific elements of Environmental Engineering. The Associate Degree of Engineering will give you the freedom of choice to start up your career or set a stepping stone for further study.
Previous experience through TAFE or work?
Already hold a Diploma through TAFE or experience through work? Then fast track your degree with the credit you’ve already earned.
Why Environmental?
You will study specialist topics including water and wastewater treatment, mine site rehabilitation and salinisation. With your knowledge and skills, you will be qualified to work in the fields of river hydrology, mine and landscape rehabilitation, water resources engineering, soil science and engineering problem solving and management as an Engineering Officer.
Professional accreditation
When you graduate with your Associate Degree, you’ll be eligible to apply for provisional accreditation with Engineers Australia. Apply for membership after you graduate to become an Engineering Associate (Officer) and with the experience you will get from working in the field, you can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Officer.
