Bachelor of Applied Media

This degree will give you specialist skills in digital television production, digital audio production and broadcast radio. You will develop and produce a large amount of television and radio content for community broadcast, giving you practical, hands-on experience and developed skills in script writing, broadcast production, research, interviewing, documentary production and production management.

Our students produce shows for television stations and have access to our online community radio station ‘Phoenix Radio’ where you will be able to see the inner workings of radio production. 

If you are looking to specialise there are nine majors to choose from including: Creative Media (including Multimedia), English Literature, Graphic Design, Journalism, Theatre, Tourism Management, Visual ArtsMarketing

Our lecturers are industry professionals who have made feature films, documentaries and worked in television and radio. With decades of industry experience, they will give you cutting edge training in the skills relevant to the current industry.

Our students have gone on to work on Steven Spielberg productions, at ABC, SBS, Channel Seven, Channel Nine, Channel Ten, WIN TV, QCTV, Cutting Edge, Brisbane Broncos, Nova FM Radio, 97.3FM  Radio, advertising agencies, teaching, production companies and to film their own documentaries.
