Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Information Technology

Gain a competitive edge in business

The double degree of Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Information Technology will provide you with strong business skills and knowledge of the information technology field, supplying you with the tools you need to thrive in an increasingly technology-dependent environment. This double degree combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience to help you become successful in whichever career pathway you choose.

You can select from a number of different Business majors including Administrative Management, Human Resource Management, Information Technology Management, International Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Tourism Management. Information Technology majors include Applied Computer Science, Information Systems Development, Information Technology Management, and Networking and Security.

When graduating with a double degree, you will receive a separate testamur (official certificate) for each degree and will be able to complete the double degree in less time than if you chose to study the two degrees separately.

Career opportunities

As a graduate with a double degree, your career opportunities are extensive and vary widely depending on your chosen majors. Careers can include administrative manager, personnel officer, supply and materials manager, event coordinator, product/brand manager and IT manager.

Some of the biggest employers of ICT graduates in Australia are international IT vendors, including Microsoft and IBM, and ICT end-users such as banks and government departments.

Professional accreditation

The Bachelor of Information Technology is accredited at professional level by the Australian Computer Society and, through the Seoul Accord, is recognised in other countries.

The Human Resource Management major will satisfy the academic requirements for membership of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
