Bachelor of Communication (Journalism)

Join the ranks of media professionals with our Bachelor of Communication (Journalism). Journalism classes encourage personalised teaching and an emphasis on practical learning that will prepare you for a diverse range of career options.

With a practical approach, students will learn reporting, writing, editing, design and production of content for a range of media including radio, television, online, newspaper and magazines.

You will learn from lecturers with years of industry experience in print and broadcast journalism. Our strong industry partnerships will give you access to media organisations for real opportunities to apply your knowledge. Third-year students are encouraged to undertake elective work placements as part of their studies.

Our graduates are working in radio, television, online and print media, throughout Australia and overseas. You will be equipped to work as a news and specialist reporter, columnist, commentator, copywriter, producer, editor, newsreader and presenter.
