A combined degree with a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Business will leave graduates with the skills they need to become a successful engineer in the workforce combined with a strong background of business principles and practice. This degree combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience to help you become successful in whichever career pathway you choose in a shorter time than if you were completing two separate degrees.

You can choose from a large number of different Engineering majors including Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Power Engineering. Business majors include Administrative Management, International Business, Marketing, Tourism Management, Human Resource Management, Information Technology Management and Management and Leadership.

Career opportunities

With this double degree there is a large number of different combinations of Engineering and Business majors available, creating many career opportunities including professional engineer and manage and management positions within the public or private sectors specialising in an engineering discipline.

Professional accreditation

A graduate of this program is eligible to apply for membership of Engineers Australia as a graduate Engineer. After further professional development, a graduate member with a Bachelor of Engineering may apply for chartered status as a Professional Engineer and, when granted, may use the post-nominal MIEAust CPEng.

The Bachelor of Engineering program is accredited by Engineers Australia and, through an agreement reached between the professional engineering bodies of other countries (the Washington Accord), is also recognised in the United Kingdom, the Unites States of America, Canada, Ireland, Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Africa.
