Clinical experience

In addition to the courses listed below, you will also need to complete 52 days clinical experience, where interactive hands-on activities, such as experiments and use of specialist equipment, are undertaken.

Residential schools

In addition to the courses listed below, external students will also have the opportunity to come on-campus for face-to-face lectures and tutorials, use the facilities and to meet staff and other students.

 Each of these courses has a two or three-day residential school. Candidates with evidence of Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) may seek exemption from some courses and/or residential schools in the first year of the program.

2  Candidates with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a medical pathology laboratory may apply for exemption from courses in the program and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Applicants seeking exemption should contact the Program Coordinator in the first instance for advice and approval.
