Career Guidance

Making a decision about what to study can be pretty daunting. You are welcome to make an appointment with our qualified Career Counsellors who offer independent advice.

At USQ we provide career counselling and guidance to our future students and current students.

In order to give you some career direction, we will start by assessing your interests, values and personality. This means we can gain an understanding of the type of work and industries that you may find fulfilling.

We then identify the careers and programs (not just USQ based) that you are most likely to enjoy and work with you to create an action plan to help you on your path to a fulfilling career.

Can Career Counselling help me?

Our career counsellors can help:

• years 10-12 students who are choosing a career, course and subjects
• students who are looking for career guidance and advice with potential employment options
• if you are considering a career change and need help planning their next move
• if you are considering post-graduate study and need help choosing the right course.
