What is an Advertising Coordinator?

Advertising coordinators, also known as advertising account executives, plan, create and execute advertising campaigns to market products or services to targeted markets as part of an organisation’s, company’s or client’s overall marketing strategy. Duties may include developing campaign strategy, undertaking research, managing budgets and timelines, liaising with media booking and creative agencies and evaluation of campaigns.

Advertising coordinators work in a range of settings including advertising, marketing and public relations firms, government, universities, leisure, hospitality and tourism industries, corporate sector, government organisations and charity organisations, among many others.
