Events they may be involved include festivals, meetings, conferences, concerts and corporate functions, dinners and social gatherings.

Other titles for event coordinators include event planners, functions coordinator, convention coordinator and events manager.

Event coordinators work in a variety of settings including the leisure, hospitality, tourism and travel industries, corporate sector, government organisations, charity organisations and events management companies, among others.
