The following pathways will help you on your journey to working as an Early Childhood Teacher:
Early childhood teachers are involved with the education of young children aged birth to eight years. They implement teaching programs and learning environments that focus on the child’s development including planning play activities, storytelling and music, organising excursions and monitoring the child’s development including identification of developmental issues and recommending appropriate follow up pathways.
Early childhood teachers work in a variety of settings including childcare centres, kindergartens, primary schools (prep to year 3), government children’s organisations as well as nanny services, cruise ships, teaching English overseas, among many others.
