Diploma of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundations

Because we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to try out university studies, access to our Diploma of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundations is open to everyone and all applications are accepted.  We promise a personalised learning journey that will provide you with a great foundation for academic success.  

This foundation diploma is designed to introduce you to university studies in Social Science and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies. You will complete four core courses where you will develop an understanding of skills, issues, principles and theories needed for those considering a career in social services. You will also have the opportunity to sample an additional four courses from various USQ arts degrees.

Further studies      

When you complete your foundation diploma you will be ready to pursue a degree in arts. If you choose to do some further study, you may even receive up to one year off your Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Science or Bachelor of General Studies depending on the courses that you select as part of your foundation diploma.
