Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science (Surveying)
USQ’s Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science (Surveying) is ideal if you have a three year engineering degree and you want to extend your knowledge and practical experience in surveying. You don’t even need work experience to commence your postgraduate studies in this degree.
Through this eight unit degree, you will do a combination of advanced study and practice of surveying, empowering you to apply new and increasingly sophisticated computing technology to surveying and mapping projects.
Further study
When you complete your Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science you could take the credit from your studies and go on to complete the Master of Engineering Science where you will have the opportunity to do a research project and dissertation to apply your formal knowledge to a real world issue.
Career opportunities
As a surveying graduate, you could work in property surveying, land development, land information, mapping, engineering, and mining. Your experience could see you working on unique solutions to problems – solutions that are expected to be both socially and environmentally responsible.
Professional accreditation
The Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science is not accredited by any professional bodies other than the University of Southern Queensland. It does however provide a pathway to the Master of Engineering Science which is provisionally accredited with Engineers Australia for membership as a graduate Professional Engineer.
