Middle School Years

The Graduate Diploma of Teaching is focussed on allowing its graduates to complete a pre-service teacher education qualification which may satisfy the requirements for qualified teacher status, or equivalent, in other countries.

Teaching-related skills of communication and educational management are also in demand in careers such as sport and leisure centre management and human services.

Professional accreditation

As this program’s graduates will not be required to undertake a professional experience placement in an Australian school, they will not be eligible for registration as a teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers.
