Master of Arts (Anthropology)
Our Master of Arts (Anthropology) will allow you to demonstrate your capacity for specialised study, research and scholarship at a higher level. Throughout your Master’s degree, you will advance your anthropological skills and gain a greater understanding of what it means to be human in a wide range of contexts and places; from the study of material culture to popular culture, public health policies and the world’s religions. You will undertake specialised coursework and complete a dissertation in a particular area of your interest.
Career opportunities
As an anthropologist, you will be equipped to work in areas such as mining, native title, welfare, cultural heritage, museum and other consultancies, national parks, sociology, as well as in organisations such as the Australian Heritage Commission, Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Agency, or Aboriginal Lands Council.
