Music offers specialised and advanced training in the areas of music theory and performance. It also provides the intellectual and practical skills necessary to apply knowledge in further study, research, employment, and community service. You may choose to enhance your existing music practice with focusing on theory and history, or study pedagogy and ensemble performance.
Our staff are nationally and internationally contributing artists who place a strong emphasis on developing contemporary or classical skills. You will be enriched by their provision of learning experiences that will advance your intellectual and practical skills necessary to apply knowledge in further study, research, employment, and community service.
Career opportunities
As well as giving you the knowledge to advance you in an established career, this master’s degree will equip you with the skills to become a secondary school teacher (with further study), ensemble performer, repetiteur, accompanist, music administrator, orchestral musician, music critic and concert performer.
