  • Outline of dissertation topic

Admission is dependent upon the Faculty's capacity to supervise the proposed projects. Prospective candidates should consult with the Associate Dean (Research) before preparing their project proposals. Research concentrations are updated periodically.

International entry requirements

English language requirements

  • IELTS: 6.5 (or better) (no component lower than 6.0)
  • TOEFL (paper based): 570 (or better) (with minimum test of written English score of 5)
  • TOEFL (electronic): 230 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 5)
  • TOEFL (internet based): 90 (or better) (with 20 minimum in all bands)
  • Pearson (PTE Academic): 58 (or better) (with no communicative score lower than 58)
  • Singapore, Hong Kong, British 'O' Level English: 'C' or better
